Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Bend-La Pine Schools!

To ensure a safe environment, all volunteers are required to complete an online application and volunteer background check. Volunteers must be 18 years or older.

Volunteer needs vary from school to school. Volunteers are most often needed for special events in and out of the classroom. We ask that you refrain from arriving at the school unannounced and expecting to be placed. Volunteers must have a specific volunteer assignment. To inquire about the availability of volunteer positions, please contact the school for which you are interested.

To apply, please follow these steps:

1. Read and agree to the Bend-La Pine Schools’ Volunteer Policies and understand the expectations of volunteering.
2. Complete the volunteer application. The application authorizes Bend-La Pine Schools to conduct a Criminal History Background Check.
3. The volunteer application and background check takes an average of 5-7 business days to complete. We ask that all volunteers apply at least two weeks ahead of their scheduled volunteer date.
4. If approved, you will receive an email notifying you that you are now approved to volunteer. This approval is good for two years with any Bend-La Pine school.
5. If you are denied, you will receive an email. If you have questions about your denial of approval, please click here to email us.
6. Work directly with your respective school for your scheduled volunteer date. Bring government-issued photo identification to check in at the school per district policy. Each time you volunteer at a school, you must sign in AND out in the school's front office. A photo ID is required every time you are expected to enter the school.
