Please note, the Board of Directors meets in two formats:
Regular Board Meetings are typically held on the second Tuesday of each month during which regular business is completed, actions are taken and public comment is received.
Work Sessions are typically held on the fourth Tuesday of each month during which the Board engages in discussion on key Board work and initiatives.
In-Person Meetings: To speak at a board meeting, please arrive at least five minutes early and sign-up using the posted sign-up roster. Each person will be afforded three minutes to speak with a maximum of ten minutes per subject area. The Board Chair will accept public comment in the order in which it was received, will monitor speakers to ensure they are within their three minute time limit and that subject matters do not exceed the maximum of ten minutes per topic. Comments should be respectful and directed to the board as a whole; inappropriate comments and behavior will not be tolerated. The Board Chair has full discretion over the Public Comment period.
Virtual Meetings: To speak at the virtual board meeting, please submit a request through the School Board Listening Post on the Board Member contact page no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) on the day of the meeting. State "REQUEST FOR PUBLIC COMMENT ON (clearly state the topic you wish to discuss)" in the I would like the school board to know section of the form. Board Clerk, Janet Bojanowski, will confirm your request and send information on how to log-in to speak during the public comment portion of the meeting.
