Educator Fair Set April 13

Bend-La Pine Schools is now hiring teachers and other certified staff members! Learn more by attending the Central Oregon Educator Fair at Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center in Redmond:

Representatives from Bend-La Pine Schools, as well as other school districts in the region, will be on hand to answer questions about current openings and offer information about the district. The job fair is for licensed teachers, grades K-12. Please make sure to register in advance to avoid delays on the day of the event. This event is free and open to the public.

Educational Assistant Position Requirements

Applicants to educational assistant positions must meet and provide proof of one of the following requirements:

  • Two years of college (to include 90 quarter hours with passing grades)
  • Associates degree
  • Successful completion of the Paraprofessional Assessment exam with a score of 455. (More information about the Paraprofessional Assessment exam can be found here.) Note: At this time Bend-La Pine Schools does not offer the Paraprofessional Assessment exam. The Paraprofessional exam is offered by Sylvan Learning Center of Bend, Willamette ESD and Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA. Please contact these locations directly for further information on testing.

Salary Schedules

Bend-La Pine Schools offers competitive wages.


Teachers will be paid 66 days at the 8/26/19 through 11/30/19 rates and 124 days at the 12/1/19 through 6/30/20 rates.
