Three Rivers School
October 11, 2019
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Our fall parent/teacher conferences are coming up soon. I want to express to you the importance of attending your conference with your child’s teacher(s). After many years in education, perhaps the most important thing I have learned is that children are most successful when their family is engaged and invested in working with teachers and the school. Creating a strong parent/teacher relationship is most likely the simplest and easiest route to a successful year in school.
Since we do not have school on conference days, I realize there can be a temptation to head out of town or to take a long weekend. While understandable, we are not able to accommodate requests to make up conferences at a later date. The conference dates are the time the School District sets aside for teachers to meet with parents. I ask that you make every effort possible to attend your conference and learn how your child is doing at school.
Conference dates are as follows:
Wednesday, October 23rd and Thursday, October 24th (No school on 10/23, 10/24 & 10/25)
Wednesday, April 8 and Thursday, April 9 (No school on 4/8, 4/9 & 4/10)
The format for conferences at Three Rivers School is as follows:
Please enter through the front door of the school.
And don't forget the Book Fair! It takes place in our school library during the same hours as conferences. Volunteers are needed, online ordering is available – To volunteer with Mrs. Gascon, please sign up online: https://volunteer.scholastic.com/#/signup/BZGFQYpIv. And online shopping is open from October 16-29: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/3riversk8
Thank you all for your participation in conferences!
