Summit High School

Senior Photos Due

Senior Photos Due December 1st

Dec 01st 2022 - All Day

Seniors are encouraged to submit their own senior photos via the Herff Jones website www.hjeshare.com. Our school code is "skostorm." Make sure you select "Upload Your Portrait" after entering your contact information. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION THAT YOUR PHOTO HAS BEEN UPLOADED. If you see the green checkmark and the screen that says "Upload Complete Thanks for Sharing" then you uploaded correctly! We will contact you personally if there are any issues with the portrait. Please note: This is not required! However, if you are interested in low-cost senior portraits, email [email protected] to discuss options.

Senior Photo Requirements:

  1. Photos must be HEAD SHOTS from the chest up with the full head in view. Full body or 3/4 shots will be cropped to fit specifications and could result in a low-quality image.
  2. Full color (No black and white or sepia tones)
  3. In focus and only lightly edited
  4. Vertical orientation, not horizontal. Please do not submit tilted photos.
  5. Face should be well lit and fully visible. Eyes should be looking at the camera. Avoid dark shadows or dappled shadows across the face. Hats and hoodies are discouraged if they obscure the student’s recognizable features. Clothing should reflect what is appropriate at school for all genders.
  6. Photos should only contain the senior (no friends, pets, props, etc.)
  7. No selfies
  8. Your photographer should make sure they are shooting high resolution photos. Images should be submitted as JPEG files at 300 dpi resolution. (File sizes over 8MB may be difficult to upload.)
  9. The name of your file should be your last name_ first name_ 2022.jpg. (Example: Smith_Joaquin_2023.jpg)
  10. Upload the photo to www.hjeshare.com. Summit’s access code is "skostorm." (Do NOT email photos! Using the online method results in higher quality images. Herff Jones customer service can help you with uploading if you have questions about the process.)

All requirements for the photo must be met. If they are not, the student’s school ID photo will be used. The actual use of your submitted photo is at the discretion of the yearbook adviser and staff. Individuality is a-okay, but offensive or low-quality photos will not be used.
