FROM OUR LIBRARY/MEDIA TECH CENTER:
SENIORS: if you have any files in school accounts (Google drive, etc.) that you would like to save, they must be transferred to a personal account/device BEFORE you graduate. Please export/back up your school files to your own account.
All library books, calculators, etc. may be returned as soon as you are done using them. Please check your school email from the library to find out what items you have out and fees you might have. Or inquire in the library.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE! iPad/brick/cord combos and all library materials are due back by June 5th. The brick and cord MUST be the ones the district issued with your iPad. If you do not return the proper brick and cord in good condition, the cost to replace is $20 for each item. The cost to repair a cracked iPad screen is $150 if you have not purchased insurance for this school year. iPads must be returned personally to Summit staff for inspection. Fines can be checked and paid for through TouchBase.
Please ensure you are ONLY returning items directly to the library and not dropping them off at any other school location.
For any questions about graduation please contact Amy in the Counseling Office.
Need help or have questions about life after high school? Jeff Rankin, our SHS College and Career Advisor, is a great resource for you! Visit him in B211, and check out the College and Career website.
SHS provides transcripts to colleges, universities, trade schools and employers through SchooLinks for current students. Current students can create an account and request their transcript through SchooLinks.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR TRANSCRIPT!
Even if you think you don’t need a copy of your transcript today, you could need an official copy at any time in the next couple of years. To make sure you have SUPER EASY access to this important piece of information YOU HAVE TO ADD YOUR PERSONAL EMAIL TO YOUR SCHOOLINKS ACCOUNT! If you don’t, getting a copy of your transcript will be a hassle. AVOID THAT and change your email TODAY!
And if you don’t have a SchooLinks account, SET THAT UP RIGHT NOW! It’s super easy.
Please remember: If you are attending a 2 or 4-year university you must order a final transcript from your account on SchooLinks and have it sent to the university you will be attending. If you need a final transcript for other purposes you can order and have it sent to yourself. When ordering, check the box that says "hold for final grades." All counselors will be on break before grades are finalized in June so this is an important step!
~~ NO transcripts will be uploaded on Common app, Coalition, Send.edu OR SCOIR in June!~~
Letters of recommendation need to be requested 2-3 weeks in advance of when they are needed.
You can request a letter of recommendation from your counselor by filling out a Letter of Rec form and leaving it with Mrs. Micheletti in the Counseling Office. There are also hard copies available on the wall in the Counseling Office.
Don’t be afraid to “brag” about yourself a little! Your counselor will use this information to recommend you for scholarships, college admissions, summer programs, and other honors/awards.
Career Related Learning requirements [16 hours total of work or volunteering from 9th - 12th grade] are ON for the Class of 2024 per the state of Oregon. If you have questions about CRLES please ask your counselor or in the Future Center.
Students may have earned cords through various accomplishments throughout high school. These cords should be worn with their robes at graduation. We will hand out cords in May with caps & gowns. Here is a handy guide to what each of those cords mean:
Purple – All AP Honors
White – Honors Diploma
Gold – 3.5 GPA or above
The graduation party is an all night, drug and alcohol free event for graduating senior students that is organized, funded and staffed by senior parents. This party is not school or district sponsored. The district respectfully asks that party organizers continue to follow all guidelines set forth by the Governor's Office.
All senior parents are welcome and encouraged to be involved! If you have fundraising or celebration ideas you can get involved by messaging the grad party organizers:
