Realms Middle School
Did you know that Realms Middle School is Bend's only middle school to earn Oregon Green School status?!
At Realms Middle School we strongly encourage families to plan transportation to and from school in a way that is environmentally responsible whenever possible. Below is information about ways that kids can get to and from school without putting more cars on the road.
Like the freedom of biking and the feeling of some exercise at the start and end of each day? Considering biking to school? AWESOME! We have students who bike to school often, and we encourage all students to try it out during our "Bike to School Days" in the Fall - stay tuned for more information, and don't forget your helmet!
Realms Middle School students may ride Bend-La Pine school buses! There are special bus routes from each neighborhood middle school to Realms Middle in the mornings. This means you may ride your neighborhood bus in the morning to your nearest middle school and then catch a "shuttle bus" from there to Realms Middle School.
A similar system works in reverse at the end of each day when students can ride a bus from Realms Middle to the student's boundary middle school. From there, they can transfer to a bus that will service their neighborhood. This system of buses is designed to serve kids at magnet schools and TAG programs.
If you have questions about the bus routes, please review the Transportation webpage or contact Transportation through email or phone at 541-355-5700.
In addition to bus options, many of our families set up carpools. This is a great way to reduce your environmental footprint AND save yourself some time!
