Our Counseling Team Is Here For You

Hello from the PBMS Counseling Department,

We hope this email finds you healthy and happy. Our counseling team is here to help support you and your student(s). Fortunately, with the technology we have available, we are able to continue to meet with kids and parents. Therefore, we are now accepting appointments. Use the steps below in order to make an appointment.

1) Via the counseling webpage you can request an appointment with your counselor. There is a parent request form and a student request form: https://sites.google.com/gapps.bend.k12.or.us/msbaconsresourcepage--pbms/home

2) Email your counselor and they can set up a time to connect.

If you don't know who your counselor is, please refer to these general guidelines:

Bacon: 6th graders with the last name beginning with L-Z and ALL 7th grade students.

MacFarland: 6th graders with the last name beginning with A-K and ALL 8th grade students.

We will be communicating with students and parents over voice call, video conferencing (WebEx), or by email. Please indicate on the google form which method you would prefer we connect with you.

We will be available to assist with mental health concerns, emotional wellness check-ins, academic questions or concerns, concerns or questions about distance learning and distance learning resources and any other topics you may need assistance with. Counselors will respond to emails and requests as soon as possible during our work hours. However, if you have an urgent mental health concern, please call the Deschutes County Crisis Line at 541-322-7500 ext. 9.

We Welcome You

We welcome all students and parents to seek assistance from our counseling office when they are in need of help. Our staff can offer assistance with social, emotional, behavioral or academic issues. Stop by or make an appointment to talk.

Our Counselors

Rachel Bacon is the counselor for all 6th grade students and for 8th grade students with the last name starting with L-Z. She is also the 504 coordinator.

Gavin MacFarland is the counselor for all 7th grade students and for 8th grade students with the last name starting with A-K.

Making an Appointment

Parents or students may make appointments.

Students should stop by the Counseling Office to make an appointment.
