Pacific Crest Middle School

Welcome to Pacific Crest Middle School!

Vision

Where identity and relationships are foundations to learning and living in a caring community.

Mission

Pacific Crest Middle School exists to empower students as creative thinkers, responsible decision-makers, and engaged members of society through practices that place the learner at the core of instruction.

Equity Statement

The staff of Pacific Crest Middle School has the inherent responsibility and power within our jobs to create equitable access to a powerful and engaging education for each student regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, language, ability, or socioeconomic status.

We believe that all students can achieve, and when students do not, we must claim and own this failure as a deficiency of our institution and not a deficiency of the student or family.

Our Story

Every day our students and staff write the PCMS STORY as they create and engage in RELEVANT LEARNING, demonstrate a commitment to HIGH QUALITY WORK, and recognize their IMPACT on the world around them. When we share our story with those around us, we leave a LEGACY.

Meal Information

For breakfast, students will be outside, weather permitting, spaced out six-feet apart. Only students who want breakfast will be allowed in the building prior to 9:05. This meal time will be no more than 15 minutes.

For lunch, we will be eating outside every day, spaced 6 feet apart, unless outdoor conditions do not allow students to be outside. If the temperature drops below 20 degrees, precipitation is heavy, or the air quality rises to unhealthy, we will be forced to move lunch inside. For these days, we will utilize The Nest, hallways, library and gym to ensure students can eat spaced out 6-feet apart. Additionally, students will be required to put their masks back on as soon as they are done eating. Knowing that we will default to eating outside whenever possible, please ensure your child has proper clothing to spend 30 minutes outside every day.
