These eight students were nominated by various staff members for excelling in the classroom and/or exemplifying the MVCARES traits of Community, Attendance, Resiliency, Engagement and Service. Congratulations Cougars!

Seniors

Keeley O'Donnell: Keeley is a student who has a thirst to learn. She is fantastic at asking questions and is always willing to help out a fellow student. Keeley continues to demonstrate resiliency in that when things get tough, I have never seen her give up. Instead, she digs in and works even harder.

Foster Myers: Foster is an outstanding student and mentor. Foster has worked hard to develop his skills and a project planner, fabricator, and welder. He also has developed his teaching ability to help mentor less experienced students. Foster can take a project from concept to design to ordering build material to fabrication and finished project.

Juniors

Ethan Carper: Ethan is an incredibly driven individual. He gives his best to class each and every day. I am impressed with the quality and creativity (yes, we can be creative in math!) he adds to each assignment. Ethan thinks deeply about the math, and demonstrates engagement and resiliency each day.

Sergio Ramirez: This year, Sergio has been very diligent and hardworking in all of his school work. His attendance has been excellent and he just keeps working hard.

Sophomores

Honey Walk: Honey has led the charge to make our commons area inviting, cheerful and attractive. She sets high goals for her projects and sticks with them until complete. I appreciate her happy attitude, her can-do spirit and her Christmas-themed masks that she wears all year long.

Zeek Rubio: Zeek comes to school with a smile on his face and willing to tackle obstacles life throws his way. He has also significantly improved his grades and is always a good friend and classmate.

Freshman

Taylor Dean: Taylor is always a bright light in the room. She is sincere, kind, thoughtful, and just plain awesome. Furthermore, she is willing to take risks, such as being the first person to answer questions or putting herself out there in whatever way. Taylor is also honest and willing to speak up for herself, which really distinguishes her from many peers.

Daisy Aleman: Daisy is a leader in our Modern World History class! She came extra prepared to a Socratic Seminar, asked great questions, and did an awesome job of keeping the conversation going. I appreciate her willingness to try anything and go the extra mile.
