Big Wins for FFA

MV Students Sweep State Convention

The Bend FFA Chapter had an amazing State Convention.

Shea Booster was elected President of the Oregon FFA Association!! He will take a year out of college to serve the organization by attending conferences in Washington D.C., coordinating leadership events, building partnerships with businesses and promoting the organization. He set the goal to become a state officer his freshman year and now it has happened. Shea spent the rest of spring break in trainings in Corvallis as his first leadership camp is in 3 weeks.

Shea also won the Extemporaneous Speaking Contest and will represent Oregon at the national contest in October in Indianapolis, IN.

Emily Penington - 2nd in Sophomore Public Speaking

Josiah Cruikshank - 3rd in Creed Speaking

Alyssa Minar - 1st in the Art Contest

Mariah Jarvis received a scholarship to attend the WLC Conference in Washington D.C. this summer.

Riann Cornett - 2nd in the Wilco Photo Contest - her photo of 2 pigs will be on their gift cards soon.

Shea Booster received the HH Gibson Scholarship ($1000)

The Ag Issues team made the finals with their presentation about the legalization of marijuana.

Emma Rooker - elected as President of the Central Oregon District

Katie Duggan - elected as Vice President of the Central Oregon District

Emma, Mallory Silvey, Liliana Newman & Wendi Gage - received the State FFA Degree
