I Love My Job!

I cannot tell you how much I am enjoying having our students and staff back in the building. This once stale building is alive again with vibrant learning, laughter and mutual support. Thank you for trusting us to take good care of your children. We love having them here at Miller Elementary.

A Few Reminders...

  • We will not have a formal Lost and Found bin this year. Anything left on the playground will be put in the courtyard area of that playground (the area between the 2 wings). Anything found elsewhere will be put out front along the wall by the office entrance. Anything small, like jewelry, will be in the front office. PLEASE PUT YOUR CHILD'S NAME ON EVERYTHING.
  • If your child is home sick, please let the office or your child's teacher know and include symptoms.
  • Please be sure your child knows if they will be getting a breakfast or lunch at school each day.

This Friday is a CDL Day.

  • ALL students will work from home.
  • The schedule for the day will come from your child's teacher and will be similar to a CDL day prior to our return to the classrooms.
  • iPads will be sent home with the students on Thursday (or earlier for hybrid students)
  • Please only use the iPads for school work on Friday so they have power when the kids return on Tuesday (or Thursday for some hybrid kids).

Monday, February 15 is a holiday. No school.

Report Card Delays

  • Report cards were supposed to be ready for parents on Monday. With many students moving around recently, there have been some problems. Some parents have not been able to view their child's report card.
  • Please give the district this week to get things up and running again. Please call the office at 541-355-2500 on Tuesday if you still cannot view the report card in ParentVue.
  • If you do not have a ParentVUE account, please contact the main office at 541-355-2500 for help. Also, the office can print a report card if you do not have access to a computer.

Snow Days - Please send your children prepared for cold and snowy recesses.

  • We go outside if it is 18 degrees or warmer.
  • Kids can play in the snow if they have snow pants, boots and coats.
  • Since our students are assigned by class to certain areas of the playground for recess, a child who is not prepared for snow will be tough to accommodate.
  • Please contact Heidi Odman, our FAN advocate, if you could use some warm clothing for your child - [email protected]

Bus Routes and Rules

  • Please use Bus Routes to look up your child's bus route information. User name is your student's ID number. Password is student's birthdate, MMDDYYYY
  • Reminder, students will not be permitted to ride a different bus home with a friend this year.

Family Access Network (FAN)
