Screen Time Information - Rebecca Hicks (Parent at Miller and Pediatrician)

Many of you have questions about screen time so I asked Rebecca Hicks to offer some of her expertise in the matter. She has spoken with our students and parents in the past couple years to think about screen time in the bigger picture. Please click here for her blog entry.

The Firebusters program 2020 is here! We are not printing worksheets to hand out to students this year, but the question sheet is attached to this email and you can participate online on the Central Oregon Fire Services website. The program will be available for the entire month of October. Be fire safe!

Please Consider Purchasing iPad Insurance

iPad insurance is $30/year

Without insurance, the repair of an iPad will be $150.

Complete replacement of any iPad will cost $299 if you do not have insurance.

Some things that are covered by insurance: accidental damage, cracked screen, theft.

Some things that are not covered are: lost iPad, purposeful damage, charging brick and cord.

If you choose to decline optional iPad insurance we ask that you sign a form declaring that decision.

Contact Erich Brocker at [email protected] or phone 541-355-2506 for this form or with any questions.

You may pay for optional iPad insurance online using our Touchbase system. If you are familiar with this system it is the same as last year. If you are not familiar with the system here are the instructions. Go to the Bend LaPine webpage - click on the parent box in upper right side - click on "Fees & Fines" - enter user = student 6 digit id, password = last name with capitol first letter - click on your student's name - click on "Items at Student's school" - click on iPad Insurance - and you should be able to pay.
