Meeting Students Needs

At La Pine Elementary we are passionate about meeting the needs of every student, every day. At the same time, we foster high expectations for each student as an individual. Whether a child is struggling to learn a concept or has quickly mastered it, we work to move each child forward. Our teachers use an on-going cycle of assessment, instruction, and intervention to focus our work. Our students take ownership of their learning by setting personal goals and tracking their own growth toward those goals.

As a PBIS school (Positive Behavior and Instructional Supports), we have developed many systems and supports to help our students learn the skills they’ll need to be thriving citizens of the future. We foster independence and personal accountability throughout the school day. The students at La Pine Elementary know they are a part of a community and their choices make a difference in that community everyday.
