This month's Champion for Students is a BIG one! Superintendent Cook presented the honor at this week's School Board meeting to ten graduating seniors. They joined a vision to give Bend-La Pine students a voice. In February of 2023, Student Voice Council was formed, a group of twenty students representing our seven high schools.

Student Voice Council members work with their peers to collect and share ideas about policies with me and our Board of Directors. You’ve seen them at our Board meetings reporting on what they’ve worked on, what issues are meaningful to students, and engaging with our Board on important district business.

We are proud to name these graduating seniors Champion for Students for the month of May.
