We are thrilled to introduce you to this month's Champion for Students! Oftentimes, it's a stellar staff member. This month, it's a sophomore from Caldera High School. Congratulations to Chloe Grissen!

Chloe received this award in part for her recent success creating and organizing the first Life and Career Readiness Night, a smash hit event on March 5. We had over 400 students and family members showing up at Caldera to learn about opportunities before and after graduation. Thanks to Chloe’s vision and hard work, students learned more about the world that awaits them.
But her nomination came before this success. Her sister McKenzie, a freshman at Caldera, took the time to nominate her with this submission. "Chloe and her DECA team went to Florida because they got first in state. She got into the National Society of High School Scholars, and is in teen council. She’s planning a college and career fair. She has a 4.0 GPA, is in advanced math and is taking AP physics as a 10th grader."
Chloe’s DECA Advisor, Bekki Tucker, shared this about Chloe:
"Chloe's heart beats with a passion for service. She's a beacon of change, always ready to step up and make a difference. Her dedication to helping others and her commitment to bettering her community set her apart, showcasing wisdom beyond her years."
Stephen DuVal, the Director of College and Career Readiness, worked with Chloe on the Life and Career Readiness Night. He said: "I could not be more impressed with the drive and passion of Chloe Grissen. She had a vision and used every means necessary to ensure this event came to fruition. In her work organizing monthly meetings, emailing hundreds of community members, and creating an agenda for the evening, we were able to successfully host one of the best attended community events in recent memory. I am eternally grateful for Chloe and her work on this event."
