The Sustainability Plan was developed by a committee of 12 staff and community members. The committee met regularly over the course of seven months. The five-year plan identified four focus areas: Education, Transportation, Building Development and Operations, and Material Management. The committee formed four sub-committees and invited additional staff and subject matter experts to assist in developing 15 major goals and strategies to meet those goals. Bend-La Pine Schools will track and measure the progress on these goals on a regular basis. The Sustainability Plan will be embedded in EL-7 and posted on the district website.
