Bend-La Pine Schools' new high school will be located in southeast Bend near the intersection of Knott Road and SE 15th Street. Architects have shared exterior and interior renderings (see them on the New High School webpage). Irrigation work will begin in February. Building construction is slated to begin in July after a general contractor is selected in June.
Construction is full steam ahead at our new elementary school, pictured below, located at the corner of Cooley Road and O.B. Riley Road in north-central Bend. The 600-seat elementary school is two stories and features a dedicated gym and media center. The school is slated to open in the fall of 2019.
Construction for Phase 1 of this 50-year-old school is complete. The school is receiving a full interior modernization, starting with Buildings E and F. The office was relocated to create a secure lobby and the science classrooms have been modernized. The music classrooms were leveled out to create a more accessible and better learning environment. Phase 2, which includes Buildings B and D, is underway with the goal of completion by fall of 2019.
