Kindergarten Jump Up Event at Silver Rail Elementary School
Incoming kindergarten students and their parents or guardians are invited to meet teachers, visit a classroom and ask questions.

Film Festival at Juniper Elementary School
The school will roll out the red carpet for student filmmakers and their families during this annual festival. Light dinner will be served and each film will be shown twice during this fun evening that showcases student creativity and technical skills.

Book Swap at Juniper Elementary School
Students are encouraged to bring gently used books to the school library in exchange for new books as a way to get some new reading materials just in time for summer.

Day of Service at Buckingham Elementary School
During the past weeks, each grade level at Buckingham has partnered with a local charity or community organization to complete a service project. Throughout the day on June 5, these agencies will visit the school to meet students and receive the projects and donations. SHTEAM Night at Pacific Crest Middle School
Pacific Crest invites members of the public to a school-wide showcase of Science, Humanities, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. Eighth-grade science students will present research and investigations on the use of waves in communication. Design and modeling students will present their land use plans for the empty lot near the school. The event will also include a wide range of artwork from students and more. Free and open to the public.

Concert and Fundraiser for Westside Village Magnet at Kingston School
Reggae musician Pato Banton will perform at the school. The concert is free for current students and families; tickets cost $4 for others. Open to the public.

Walk of La Pine High School Graduates
The La Pine High School graduating Class of 2018 will parade through La Pine Middle School, La Pine Elementary School and Rosland Elementary School in celebration. The parade culminates at Rosland, where the graduates will sign autographs for elementary students.

End of Year Concert at Three Rivers School
Three Rivers middle school students will showcase choir, band, and guitar performances. Free and open to the public.

Takes place at Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center.

Olympics and Silver Rail Elementary School
Students and staff at Silver Rail go all out for their Olympics. The day begins with opening ceremonies, with each class representing a different country they have studied. Students then compete in an Olympics-style obstacle course around the school. The day culminates with closing ceremonies and awards.

Freshmen at Summit complete their fitness final by running a 5K around the school as a way of celebrating physical fitness.

Fifth-graders at Three Rivers School will connect with current sixth- and seventh-graders through team-building activities to experience what middle school is like.

Groundbreaking at New North Central Bend Elementary School
Members of the public are invited to attend the groundbreaking at the site of the new elementary school located in north central Bend, at the corner of O.B. Riley Road and Cooley Road. Details about the new school, which is funded as part of the 2017 construction bond passed by voters, as well as other bond projects can be found on our Bond webpage.

FBLA Standout: La Pine High School student Trentyn Tennant was recently elected to serve as Executive Vice President of the Oregon Future Business Leaders of America program after serving as president of the local chapter for 2017-18. He is planning to run for a national position at the national conference this summer in Baltimore.
