Four Bend-La Pine Schools students recently earned Silver Medals from the National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, a top honor for this national contest.

These four students earned Golden Key honors at the state level and their work went on to earn Silver Medal status at the national level.

Congratulations to:

Kendall Legum, an eighth-grader at Pacific Crest Middle School, for her digital art, "Abduction."

Ashley Lekan, a senior at Summit High School, for her photography, "Force of Light" (see top image)

Samantha Reeves, a senior at Summit High School, for her fashion piece, "Coat of Whimsical Petals"

Megan Strait, a junior at Summit High School, for her photography, "Stark."
