Find Ways to Connect With Our Schools

Through December 12
Holiday Store Collections for Three Rivers School
Community members are invited to donate gently used items, as well as wrapping paper, bows and tags to the student Holiday Store at Three Rivers. The school is looking to fill a classroom with these goods. Students will be earning Holiday Bucks through good behavior and lending a helping hand during the next few weeks. Students can use these bucks to “shop” at the Holiday Store Dec. 13 and Dec. 15. The goal is to allow all students to experience the joy of giving gifts to loved ones.


December 1-13
South County Canned Food Drive
All four La Pine-area schools are joining together to conduct a food drive for the Community Kitchen in Christmas Basket Association in La Pine. The goal is for students to bring in 30,000 cans. Community members are invited to donate in drop boxes at the schools.


December 1, 5 p.m.
Robotics Meet at Pilot Butte Middle School
The Central Oregon Robotics League hosts a meet at Pilot Butte, which will feature interactive activities beyond the competition. Spectators can drive a robot, meet Roberta the Robot and learn how to dance like a robot. All visitors are also encouraged to bring in canned food to donate to the Central Oregon Foodbank. December 1-3, 7 p.m.
“A Christmas Carol” at La Pine High School
This is a production of the classic tale of Scrooge, the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future and Tiny Tim. Tickets cost $4 general admission, $3 seniors and students ($1 discount for those who bring a canned food donation).


December 3, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Westside Village Magnet School Winter Bazaar
Westside Village Magnet at Kingston School will host a bazaar concurrent with the Bend Christmas Parade at the school. Community members interested in participating and hosting a booth can do so by calling 541-355-2000. Proceeds benefit a local nonprofit to be selected by students.


December 8, 6 p.m.

Beginning Band and Choir Concert at Cascade Middle School
Choir and band perform in the cafeteria. Free and open to the public.


December 10, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Holiday Gift Fair at Bend Senior High School
The DECA students at Bend Senior High School are hosting a craft holiday gift fair to raise money for the Three Rivers Humane Society. The students are coordinating the effort as part of their community service project for the year. Culinary students will provide breakfast and lunch items. Free and open to the public.

Choir Concert at Pilot Butte Middle School
Choir performs in the cafeteria. Free and open to the public.


December 13, 6 p.m.
Intermediate, Advanced and Jazz Band Concert at Cascade Middle School
Bands perform in the cafeteria. Event includes a staff holiday art and craft boutique in the hallway, which will include items made by Cascade staff members and sold as a fundraiser for the school’s library. Free and open to the public.

Orchestra and Choir Concert at Cascade Middle School
Orchestra and Choir perform in the cafeteria. Event includes a staff holiday art and craft boutique in the hallway, which will include items made by Cascade staff members and sold as a fundraiser for the school’s library. Free and open to the public.

No School for Winter Break
School resumes Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
