“Snow Angel” Play at Mountain View High School

Public is invited to this student production, which tells the story of a mysterious ghost-like girl found making a snow angel. Tickets cost $7. The production takes place at 7 p.m. Nov. 3-5; and 2 p.m. Nov. 5.

“Bring it On the Musical” at Summit High School

Students perform the musical based on the movie about the competitive cheerleading squad. The play features music written by Tony Award Winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda. Recommended for mature middle school age students and older. Tickets cost $8 students, $12 adults. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Nov. 3-5.


November 5, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Job Fair at Bend Senior High School

The public is invited to drive a bus, tour our production kitchen and learn more about the many job opportunities available within our schools. Staff members from numerous departments and Human Resources will be on hand to answer questions.


November 8, 6 p.m.

Choir Concert at Pilot Butte Middle School

Takes place in the cafeteria. Open to the public.


November 10, 9 a.m.

Veterans Day Assembly at Three Rivers School

Three Rivers will host its first Veterans Day assembly and will honor veterans from throughout Central Oregon during the event. Veterans from throughout the region are planning to attend.

Veterans Assembly at Bend Senior High School

Bend Senior High School will host its fifth annual Veterans Day assembly. This year’s event will feature Bob Maxwell, World War II Medal of Honor recipient, and will focus on the contributions of veterans from World War II. The school is reaching out to invite any U.S. Military veterans to attend the assembly and be honored. Contact teacher Danny Ellis at [email protected] for more information about the assembly.

Veterans Lunch at Juniper Elementary School

Veterans and active soldiers will eat lunch with and interact with students from Juniper Elementary School during the lunch hour in honor of Veterans Day.

“Up the Down Staircase” at Bend Senior High School

The Bend Senior High School drama students will present “Up the Down Staircase.” The play tells the story of a young idealistic teacher at an inner-city school. Tickets cost $5. Showtimes take place at 7:30 p.m. Open to the public.

No School in Honor of Veterans Day


November 15, 6 p.m.

Band and Orchestra Concert at Pilot Butte Middle School

Takes place in the gym. Open to the public.

Central Oregon Sings at Bend Senior High School Auditorium

Choirs from Bend Senior High School, Crook County Middle School, Crook County High School, High Desert Middle School, La Pine High School, Mountain View High School, Sky View Middle School, Summit High School and Trinity Lutheran School will join professional vocal chamber ensemble Bend Camerata for an evening of song. Free and open to the public.


November 17, all day

Immunization Exclusion Day for Kindergarteners

College Day, All Schools

All schools will celebrate this annual event to highlight post high school education. Staff members will sport attire from their favorite college, trade school or other higher education institution or wear clothing with team colors — and students will be encouraged to do the same. This day is a fun way to get students talking and thinking about higher education at an early age. Nutrition Services is also hosting a fun coloring contest at the elementary schools in conjunction with College Day.


November 17, 6 p.m.

Silent Auction and Improv Showcase at Summit High School

This fundraiser for the drama program at Summit High School will include a silent auction and a improv showcase. Donations will be accepted in lieu of admission and the public is welcome.
