Summer construction projects are underway at six locations throughout Bend-La Pine Schools. The projects are part of the 2013 construction bond approved by voters. These projects will enhance school safety, provide much needed maintenance and preservation work to older buildings and much more.
The 2013 bond funded dozens of projects throughout our district, including the construction of two new schools, which opened in the fall of 2015. Student enrollment at Bend-La Pine Schools continues to grow, increasing about 300 students each year for the past decade. A Sites and Facilities committee recently submitted report detailing future needs for facilities. Learn more about the group's work on the Sites and Facilities webpage.
Current construction projects underway this summer include work at Amity Creek Magnet at Thompson School; Juniper Elementary School; La Pine Elementary School; La Pine Middle School; Pilot Butte Middle School and the Education Center.
