This year, Bend-La Pine Schools is examining the experiences of our students and families through the Excellence & Equity Review. The goal is to create a new relevant, rigorous and regularly-occurring process that will allow us to dig deep into the academic, social and emotional experiences of our students, particularly those from underserved populations.
This information about students' needs helps us to more effectively prioritize strategies, allocate resources and develop staff's knowledge and skills.
Along with staff expertise and research, the information gathered during this review will help inform our priorities for school improvement efforts, professional learning and funding, including that from the Student Success Act.
We want to hear from all of our stakeholders, including students, families and staff, regarding our strengths and areas for improvement, as well as how our funding priorities align with community expectations for local education delivery. Bend-La Pine Schools is hosting more than 30 listening sessions with students and families and conducting interactive sessions with staff. Our goal is for the Excellence & Equity Review to take place every three years and for this to become ingrained into our culture.
In addition to the listening sessions, we also invite families, students, staff and community members to take part in our surveys. These surveys will be open through Nov. 13.
This survey is intended for parent and guardians of current students.
This survey is an opportunity for families, students, staff and community members to share their voice about new funds from the Student Success Act.
