Choice Options Middle Schools
In addition to attending their neighborhood schools, families of Bend-La Pine Schools middle school students have options for their 6-8 education. Below are the schools and programs that are open to BLS 6-8 students. Spots in the magnet programs are available via the annual lottery, which this year will run in January 2024 (see more information).
A spot in the Dual Immersion Program at this level requires a Late Entry application with language testing before admittance should a position open.

Talented and Gifted (TAG)
Cascade Middle School offers TAG humanities classes for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Only students that have been identified as Talented and Gifted through pre-established identification procedures and criteria are eligible to apply for an Area Change Request to attend Cascade Middle School under the TAG program.
