Attention Parents/Guardians of 5th Grade TAG Students:
The Bend-La Pine School District is committed to helping all students reach their full potential. While every middle school in our district has a plan for working with Talented and Gifted (TAG) students, one opportunity within our range of services is a 6th grade TAG class. Most of our TAG students thrive in their home school programs but this environment may be more suited to the needs of some TAG students. We offer a 6th grade TAG advanced humanities at Cascade Middle School. Students in this TAG group study and learn with other students who are academically and/or intellectually talented. Cascade has opportunities for TAG students to be in advanced humanities classes in 7th and 8th grade as well.
Bend-La Pine Schools middle schools are using curriculum titled Open-Up Resources, developed by Illustrative Mathematics.
EdReports is an independent nonprofit organization that reviews curriculum. The complete EdReports report for Open-Up is linked HERE.
