Transportation Survey for 2021-2022

Families will need to log into ParentVUE to register their student(s) for bus ridership.

We are currently planning transportation services for students for fall of 2021. It's important that Bend-La Pine Schools know if eligible student(s) will be riding a bus during the 2021-2022 school year. All students will be moved to "No Bus" for 2021-2022. To receive busing, your eligible student must register for the bus.

Please login to our ParentVUE system and review your student's information as well as answering a few questions regarding transportation. This rider information is essential in our planning and allocation of resources for busing.

Here are the steps:

  1. Login to ParentVUE. Select the Updates/Enrollment button.
  2. Be sure you select and are updating the 2021-22 dropdown.

Bend-La Pine Schools provides transportation services for elementary students who live more than 1 mile from their school of residence, and for secondary students who live more than 1.5 miles from their school of residence, as required by state law (Board Policy EEAB-AR)..

Only students eligible for transportation services will be transported. Parents or guardians may not ride the school bus with their students. Students who do not attend school are not allowed to ride the bus. It is Bend-La Pine Schools’ goal to provide safe and efficient transportation.

Students who attend a school outside their school of residence boundary are required to provide their own transportation to and from school (Board Policy JC-AR). All students riding a fixed general education route must be routed to their school bus in order for the district to be able to quickly notify parents in the event of an emergency. Students may not "hop on" any bus that will take them to school. For the safety of your student, prior arrangements with transportation must be made in advance.

Students with special needs may qualify for special transportation if they are unable to access school without it. Transportation must be included in your student's individualized education plan (IEP) to receive service.
