Bend Tech Academy
At Bend Tech Academy, we welcome family participation on many levels. Conferences and open houses give opportunities for families to learn about their students’ classes and progress. Family Literacy and Game nights offer information on supporting student success as well as a chance for students, staff, and families to enjoy some well-deserved fun. In the spring, family and friends are invited to join us for Student Showcase, a night to highlight the fantastic work our students have completed over the course of the year. We also present our annual awards; it is an evening of pride in all that students accomplish through hard work and perseverance.
Families are encouraged to attend the planning event each year. As a Title I school, we must develop a parent involvement plan, and part of that work includes providing a chance for any adult responsible for a BTA student to share their input into our program. Ideas for family workshops, chances to volunteer, and valuable feedback about our school goals are all on the agenda for the planning meeting, which is held as a part of Open House each fall.
We also offer the ASPIRE Mentoring program in which volunteer mentors meet one-on-one with students to help them plan for their future, navigate college applications and FAFSA, and build genuine connections. If you're interested in becoming an ASPIRE mentor please call our School to Career Program Manager, Christin Sands, at 541-355-3513.
