Welcome to the Medical/Health Academy!

Student interest, participation, and experience is booming in the Medical/Health Academy at BTA. Our students are provided state-of-the-art, engaging, medical/health career-ready curriculum that brings relevant and experiential learning. Pairing this with our partnerships (St. Charles Medical Center, COCC, Klamath Community College, and a variety of local health/medical organizations and practitioners) our students are gaining the skills, high engagement experiences, certifications, and up to 30 college credits to motivate their learning and make them work-place ready. Because the medical/health field dominates the fastest growing occupations in the United States, at Bend Tech Academy we know that this program will be a tremendous asset to our students and community. The Medical/Health Academy at BTA is the springboard for our students into the high wage, high skill, high demand 21st century workforce.

Students in the Medical/Health Academy receive a vast amount of experiential learning that gives them the skills needed to pursue a successful career in any healthcare related occupation. Every class offered is centered around hands-on activities and learning, oftentimes onsite at the local hospital or in the field.

Future Readiness

Healthcare related occupations don't always mean you have to become a doctor or a nurse. There are endless opportunities within the healthcare and medical industry including veterinary care, healthcare management, nutrition and wellness, radiology, administration, home healthcare, massage, and much more. Occupations in the medical and healthcare industry tend to pay well also. Median incomes range from $25,000 to well over $200,000 annually!
