Silver Rail Elementary School
Silver Rail Elementary is unique in that it is a new design and layout compared to the prototype that had been used in the area previously. Silver Rail was designed by Steel and Associates and is the first all LED lighted elementary school in Oregon.
Some things that make the design unique are the touches of wood throughout the core, giving it a warm and welcoming feeling. The layout of the gym, media center, and performing arts center opening up to the core of the school is also a nice and open touch. Silver Rail has a STEAM room where classes may come to access the lab type room to do STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) activities.
Silver Rail Elementary School is working to be a collaborative culture that encourages curiosity, critical thinking and problem solving as we engage in academics, wellness and service to the community.
