R. E. Jewell Elementary School

Welcome to R.E. Jewell Elementary School!

Dual Immersion Program for 2023-2024 School Year

We are excited to be in our fourth year of Dual Immersion Program here at RE Jewell! We believe the skills, abilities, and confidence that our model develops in our Spanish- and English-speaking students will be invaluable to them as future-ready community members.

Families with an incoming kindergartner for next fall can choose to apply for the Dual Immersion class if they are interested in participating in the DI lottery. To learn more about the DI program, please see our district Choice Options webpage for details, or visit our front office to learn more about this process or to pick up fliers.

R.E. Jewell Elementary School has served this community with high-quality instruction for a long time and we are excited to have added Dual Immersion to the many great things our school can offer your family.

Letter from the Principal

R.E. Jewell Elementary School opened in the 1974 and we've been proud to serve the students and families of our community ever since.

We believe that when the following areas are a focus for our community, learning and growing becomes possible:
• Safe: Developing an environment where students, parents, and staff feel safe so they can focus on the important work of learning and building relationships.
• Kind: Supporting students as they work to be kind to themselves and others.
• Respectful: Fostering an environment of respect for every person in our community, understanding that each person brings something valuable that we can learn from.
• Responsible: Creating opportunities for students to own their learning, understanding what they are working toward and why it's important.
We are a kindergarten through fifth grade elementary school with about 450 students. We are proud to offer a Spanish language Dual Immersion program and invest in the future of students who will become bilingual and biliterate. We believe that every student will amaze us when they are supported to achieve their potential.

I look forward to welcoming you to R.E. Jewell and building lasting relationships.

Thank you,
