Highland Variety Show

Last week auditions for the Variety Show wrapped up and, wow, we have an incredible line-up!

Permission slips were sent home on Tuesday of this week. They provide parents with all the important information about participating. Please return them to Marieka Greene ASAP. There will be a mandatory Dress Rehearsal on the afternoon of Sunday, 6/12 in the Highland Gym (2-4pm).

The show will be the following Monday, 6/13. It will start at 5:30, and will run about an hour. Performers will be asked to arrive between 5:15-5:20.

We are required to limit our attendance this year, due to district guidelines. Unfortunately, this means ONLY participating families are allowed to attend. Also, please support us by selecting only 1- 2 audience members per performer. We understand this is tricky, so thank you, in advance!

Important future dates dates, at a glance:

Wednesday 6/8 - Permission slips due to Ms. Greene

Friday, 6/10 - Music due to Ms. Greene

Sunday, 6/12 - Dress rehearsal, 2-4, Highland Gym

Monday, 6/13 - Variety Show, Highland Gym, 5:30-7ish

School Wide Character Trait for June: Celebration!

This month we want to focus on celebrating all of the hard work our students have accomplished this school year! Our brains naturally focus on the negative so this month we are trying to shift that and really focus on the positive!

Here is a great article for all the caregivers out there interested in some ideas for closing out the year. It’s from a blog called, Confident Parents Confident Kids and has a focus on SEL (Social and Emotional Learning)

Thank you for all of your trust and support this year. Your kiddo’s are very lucky to have you and we are lucky to have them here at school.

Be Well,

Heidi Thomas
