Principal Letter

Dear Highland Families;

Thank you so much for joining us on Wednesday for the annual all-school BBQ. That was our smoothest one yet! Kudos to our cafeteria crew and nutrition services for all the hard work.

I also want to acknowledge Mr. Pettis and our Highland Choir for a wonderful concert on Wednesday evening. They worked really hard over the past couple months and they sounded great!

Get ready for a fun-filled two-week finale!

Enjoy your weekend!

Bucks for Bikes Fundraiser!

We have raised $1002.12 so far. The fundraiser ends Monday, June 3. Please consider donating to this amazing cause! If we raise another $200, we can purchase 8 BIKES!

Mrs. Eriksson’s first grade class is doing a fundraiser, with Roots and Shoots, associated with their Storyline. They are raising money that will go toward purchasing bicycles that will be given to people in need in Africa. The organization we are working with is called World Bicycle Relief. Each bicycle costs $147. Our original goal was 5 bicycles, but thanks to the Highland generosity, our new goal is EIGHT!

Students are asked to participate by bringing in coins and/or bills. At the end of the fundraiser, the class that donated the most will receive a small prize!

If you go to the World Bicycle Relief website, you will find some videos of how bicycles help change people’s lives! We also have an account called The Red Bike (Click to Donate to the “The Red Bike” fundraiser/team).

Image result for yearbooks

If you ordered a yearbook online, thank you! Your child’s teacher will pass out yearbooks the last week of school. If you did not order online, a limited amount of yearbooks will be available in the office Wednesday, June 12, on a first come first serve basis. We are not able to reserve yearbooks. Yearbooks are $12 and we accept cash or check.

Medicine & Glasses

Please stop by the office and pick up student medicine from the health room. All medicine will be properly disposed of as of the last day of school. If you are missing a pair of glasses, we have quite a collection in the office.
