Principal's Letter

Dear Highland Families,

Happy Friday! I hope this letter finds everyone off to a great start to a beautiful weekend.

The real Mr. Kissell made an appearance yesterday in Ms. Cross’ class. For those of you who do not know, Ms. Cross’ class is preparing for a trip to Antarctica and they took some time to hear from an expert on the area. When I was around 6 years old, my father deployed twice with the Navy to the southernmost continent for six months at a time. Our own Highland scientists were able to hear some stories about the harshness of this environment, the extreme living conditions, and even penguin-catching. We are hopeful they can learn from his experience to better prepare for their own expedition. Thanks, Dad!

Have an amazing weekend.

Brian Kissell
