Storyline Method

The Storyline Method reinforces academic learning by providing many settings where students are asked to integrate their learning as they discover and solve Storyline incidents and learning challenges. Storyline is for a designated time each school day, while most of the school day is dedicated to direct instruction in reading, writing, and math.

Scottish Storyline Method description

Fresh, Relevant

Students draw on their academic knowledge and apply it for hands-on Storyline activities, keeping their learning fresh and relevant. Additional instruction in science, fine arts and language arts is directly incorporated with Storyline. Highland’s music program closely coordinates with Storyline topics and reinforces classroom instruction. The Storyline Method provides multiple opportunities for Highland students to develop and hone their skills to become world-class lifelong learners.
