Finalists Selected for Elk Meadow Elementary Principal

Families, staff and community members may meet candidates during Tuesday forum

Families, staff and community members are invited to meet finalists for the principal position at Elk Meadow Elementary School during a community forum on Tuesday, February 13. Candidates will be available from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the school library, 60880 Brookswood Blvd., Bend.

Attendees will get a chance to ask questions, see presentations from the candidates and provide feedback about the finalists. The new principal will begin July 1.

Finalists are:

Ben Johnston is currently the Interim Principal at Elk Meadow Elementary School in Bend, a position he has held since 2023. Prior to his current role, Johnston served as the Dean of Students at Obsidian Middle School in Redmond, Oregon. Johnston has seven years’ experience as a district-level administrator in Minnesota and nine years of classroom teaching experience.

Tom Rogozinski is currently the Superintendent of Schools for Warrenton Hammond School District in Warrenton, Oregon, a position he has held for 5 years. Prior to his current role, Rogozinski was a Principal of three separate K-8 schools for a total of 10 years, and a K-12 Principal for 3 years. Rogozinski has over 15 years of classroom teaching experience.
