Middle School Grades 6-8 Overview

Bend-La Pine Schools Online’s academic program for grades 6–8 includes core content courses as well as a variety of middle school electives. Most families choose to use the PEAK online course platform starting in 6th grade, which provides a more structured online class environment with a back-end teacher. Middle school students may also take select online high school courses including electives and foreign languages. We recommend this option mostly for 8th grade students. Families may work with the Bend-La Pine brick and mortar high school their child chooses to attend to get these courses added to a high school transcript and applied toward graduation requirements.
