Welcome to another great year at Lava Ridge Elementary School. We are looking forward to helping every Lava Ridge student have a positive and productive school year and reach his or her full potential.
Academically, we are committed to teaching students state mandated standards without sacrificing the exciting enrichment opportunities that have made Lava Ridge famous. We are proud of the academic progress our school has made and look forward to continuing our journey to excellence. Lava Ridge has earned a rating of 'Exceptional' or 'Strong', the two highest ratings given by the state of Oregon, on its last four state report cards.
We will continue implementing our behavior management system this year. We have consistent and common rules throughout the building. Students will be taught our expectations for common areas and playgrounds at the beginning of the year. The rules will be reviewed periodically throughout the year.
The Lava Ridge staff is here to serve you. We are dedicated to developing a love of learning in all of our children. Students are most successful when school personnel work closely with parents to meet the unique needs of each individual student. You are invited and encouraged to participate in and get involved with your child's education in any way possible. We look forward to working with you to ensure your child's success. If you have any questions about anything, please don't hesitate to call or stop by the office for a visit. Our door is always open.
