Pine Ridge Safety Procedures
Our school is in the process of completing a safety review. As part of this process, our Site Council recently reviewed the area of Access Control, which includes visitor access and entry points such as gates and doors. After reviewing the results, it was determined that we could increase safety with a few changes to our procedures. I have included the changes we have made to our visitor access and student entry. We plan to implement these changes beginning Monday, May 20.

Visitor Check In - 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. All visitors must enter through the front doors and check in at the front office if they travel past the lobby.

Student Walkers / Bike Riders / Car Riders - All students must enter through the front doors, as the gates will be locked from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Student Bus Riders - All students will need to enter through the back primary hall doors, as the gates will be locked from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Pine Ridge Is Growing
Our neighborhood is growing and I am continuing to see new houses pop up every day. We currently have 619 students and are projected to have at least 660 students for the 2013-2014 school year. This has created a need for additional classroom space. We plan to add two modular classrooms to accommodate the growth.
We feel it is important to provide students in our attendance area with the opportunity to continue to attend their home school. Adding modular classrooms will allow us accommodate all families in our attendance area.

Thank you PTA, parents, and students for your generous support and kindness during teacher and staff appreciation week. Our PTA provided a week of celebration for our staff and it was greatly appreciated.
