Welcome To Our Wonderful School!

Ponderosa Elementary School opened its doors for the first time on September 2, 2008 with an enrollment of 465 students! Today, we are beginning our fifth school year with over 550 students. Our beautiful school is still like new and is situated on approximately 10 acres northeast of town with picturesque views of the white snow-capped mountains and of historical Pilot Butte. We are adjacent to the Pine Nursery Park which our staff utilizes as an outdoor classroom consisting of over 200 acres.

Come and experience a school where kids come first! Our highly qualified staff members are hired for their passion for the profession and the desire to make a difference in the lives of children. Ponderosa staff recognize there are many ways to learn and many successful teaching styles. We pride ourselves by teaching to the "whole child".

Art, Music, Physical Education, Technology, and Project-based Instruction and Enrichment Activities are considered an integral part of our educational journey. Extreme care is given to provide the best education for each and every child!

At Ponderosa, we welcome parent involvement and have numerous opportunities for volunteers at every level. Our PTA is an integral part of the success of our school and their partnership with us has provided some wonderful opportunities for our students.
