2012 - 2013 KINDERGARTEN KICKOFF
If you have a child ready to start kindergarten, or know of a family with a kindergarten age child, make plans to visit Buckingham for a registration packet. To be eligible for kindergarten, a child must be five years old before September 1, 2012. If you have any questions, please call our main office at 541-355-2600.
KINDERGARTEN ASSESSMENT
All of our incoming kindergarten students will come in for a simple assessment before they start in the fall. We will have sign-up sheets for assessment times in June available during kindergarten enrollment.
2012 - 2013 CLASS PLACEMENT
Soon we will begin the process of planning for next year and start placing students in classrooms. In this month's newsletter you will find a parent input form. Forms are also available at the main office. This is an optional form that parents can use to help us place their child in next year's classroom. The main goal of student placement is to create balanced classrooms. We would appreciate any information and input to help us in this process; however, we do not accept requests for specific teachers. Staff members will be working on placing students in early June and class lists will be posted prior to the beginning of the 2012/2013 school year.
5TH GRADE TRANSITION
It is time for our 5th grade students to visit the middle school they will be attending next year. Your student will be transported on May 31st in the morning for their middle school orientation. If you have questions about this transition please call the Buckingham main office.
ADDRESS AND PHONE CHANGES
If you are moving or changing phone numbers, please let the office know. It is very important that we have your current information in case we would need to contact you.
BUCKINGHAM CHOIR
The choir will be performing at the Kid's Choir Festival on April 28th, 2012, 4:00 PM, at Bend High School. Free to all. Donations accepted.
MUSIC
Congratulations to Rylen Arnoldy, 4th grader, and Hailey Hollister, 5th grader, for achieving their black belts on the recorders.
YEARBOOK ORDERS
