 It is with great excitement that I welcome each of you to the 2011-2012 school year. The entire staff and I look forward to working with you and your child this year and are dedicated to providing each Bear Creek student with an excellent education.
As educators in the 21st century, we are charged with educating students to be successful in a diverse and interconnected world. The staff at Bear Creek have set our expectations high and we will work hard to engage your child in a learning process that is rich with a variety of experiences that will prepare them to move forward on their path of life-long learning.
We encourage our families and the community to take an active role in helping us to motivate the students at Bear Creek to achieve academic excellence. With the support of each of you, along with our active and involved P.T.O., we feel strongly that we can accomplish the goals we have set out to achieve:
- Attaining high academic achievement in the core areas of reading, writing, and math.
- Ensuring that every student attends school on time, every day.
- Creating an environment where students accept responsibility for their actions and hold themselves to high standards.
- Maintaining our open door policy, in which parents feel welcome and believe that they are an integral part of the learning process.
Bear Creek is a safe, neighborhood school where your child's life will be enriched with cultural and memorable experiences. Student achievement is our top priority and I am honored to be the principal here. We look forward to working together to create the best education possible for your child.
