AP Comparative Government & Politics
- Students will need to be up-to-date on current events in the six countries the AP exam will be emphasizing. These include China, Mexico, Great Britain, Nigeria, Russia, and Iran. Current event topics include elections, trade agreements, social issues/events and international affairs (wars, UN involvement).
- Students will need to have a basic understanding of these countries' economic conditions including GDP, exports and imports (major industries), government controls/programs (healthcare) and trading partners.
- Students will need to have a basic understanding of these countries' leaderships including form of government (if only by name), current leaders, and a basic understanding of how power is shared (if not unitary).

AP Human Geography
- Create a student account in [ www.edmodo.com ]Edmodo. The passcode for AP Human Geography is: m402fu. This code is different then your own private password
- Complete the assignment posted and survey questions.
AP US Government & Politics
- Visit www.mittromney.com and www.barackobama.com
- Compare and contrast the candidates positions on the key issues in a chart. Note their similarities and differences where they address the same issues, and pick some key issues that ONE candidate addresses, but one doesn't.
- You must turn in a written essay of 3-5 paragraphs on who you would vote for, based on several of the issues listed above. This will be due on the first day of class.
