Bend Senior High School is an authorized  International Baccalaureate World School, one of 19 Oregon high schools and one of 2,302 schools in 141 countries worldwide to offer the rigorous and world-renowned IB Diploma Programme.  This is a district-wide programme that all Bend-La Pine students may complete.  Please note that if Bend Senior High is not a student's area school, parents must complete an area change request form.

Bend High has 26 teachers and administrators who have been trained to deliver this rich and compelling curriculum.

During the 2010-2011 school year, over 42% of BSH juniors and seniors took one or more IB classes.

BSH currently offers IB courses in these subjects: English, Spanish, French, History, Psychology, World Religions, Environmental Systems and Societies, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math Studies, Math SL (IB calculus), Math HL (advanced mathematics beyond calculus), Music, Visual Art, and Theory of Knowledge.

IB courses are open to all BSH students who wish to challenge themselves and work hard.  Students may choose to take the external exams in May to earn college credit, but this is not a requirement unless a student is a Full Diploma student.  Full IB Diploma students must take six subjects that meet certain IB requirements.

Our first Full IB Diploma cohort has 21 students in the class of 2012.  Our second Full Diploma cohort has 42 students in the class of 2013.
