Michael arrived from Ann Arbor, Michigan where he had been a Middle School Principal for five years. Prior to that he worked as both a middle and high school assistant principal, and before that as a Math teacher. He loves sports, especially skiing, swimming, biking and running. His wife, Karen, is a school nurse and they have two boys, ages 14 and 12. They are very happy to be here in Bend, and are looking forward to being a part of the Cascade community. |
 Jim Boen, Vice Principal
Jim is excited to be a part of the Cascade community and brings with him a variety of secondary school experiences from across the state. After working in both the Western and Eastern side of Oregon as a teacher, school counselor, assistant principal and principal, Jim believes that he has found a permanent home in Central Oregon. Joining him are his wife, Christie, who works for Bend/La Pine Schools as a Library/Media Specialist, and three children, Gavin (14), McKenna (12), and Brogan (10).
Jim loves spending time with his family, engaging in numerous physical activities, and enjoying the great outdoors that this area has to offer.
