Students are required to complete 27 credits to graduate. Additionally, starting with the class of 2007 students must complete the following:
Education Plan and Profile: Students identify personal, secondary and post-secondary academic, and career interests and goals; plan learning experiences and coursework to prepare for "next steps" after high school graduation; and track and document progress.
Career-Related Learning Standards (CRLS): Students demonstrate capabilities in the area of Personal Management, Problem-Solving, Communication, Teamwork, Employment Foundations, and Career Development.
Career-Related Learning Experiences (CRLES): Students participate in activities connecting classroom learning with experiences outside the classroom relevant to their interests and post-high school goals. These include the following: Work-Based Experiences, Community-Based Experiences, Field-Based Investigations, chool-Based Learning, and Technology-Based Learning.
Extended Application: Students demonstrate through a written, oral or multimedia product the application and acquisition of career-related skills and knowledge related to their interests and post-high school goals as identified in their educational plans. Collaboration with an adult mentor is required. The Extended Application may incorporate and be designed to meet CRLS, CRLE's, and/or Career Academy endorsement requirements.
