June, 2011:  Rosland Elementary School Earns LEED Gold Certification

Congratulations to Rosland Elementary School!  The building earned a LEED Gold certification for water efficiency, indoor environmental quality, energy and atmosphere, and more.

   January, 2011:  Juniper Technology Magnet School is Apple Exemplary Program

Juniper's program to use technology tools to enhance learning was recently recognized by Apple Computer as an Apple Exemplary Program for successfully using these tools to increase student achievement and engagement.  This award honors the top 40 schools nationwide (four in Oregon) that model instructional technology.

   January, 2011:  R E Jewell Elementary School Recognized for Outstanding PE Program

R.E. Jewell's dynamic physical education program has earned the school one of the nation's highest distinctions.  The National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) has named R.E. Jewell a STARS school, one of only 16 schools to earn this distinction for excellence.  R.E. Jewell's PE teacher Collin Brooks will receive the STARS award at the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance Convention in San Diego in March.
